Information business is one serious
business especially in the online arena. Did you know that it's now a
multi-billion industry? If you're into it, you must know that even though
there's a huge demand for different type of information, there's also stiff competition.
The problem that you'll surely encounter at one point or another, is not
attracting as much prospects as you would want to. Well, you can do this with
flying colors by simply following these steps:
Start by making a beautiful,
professional-looking website. There are so many websites in the online arena
today but not all of them are created equal. While some of them are extremely
interesting, others are mediocre or worst, downright boring. Be reminded that your
website is your first point of connection with your potential clients. They
give this site a visit and depending on their experience, they might leave your
website without even considering taking advantage of what you offer. Of course,
you don't want that to happen. So, invest time, money, energy, and effort to
create one hell of a website. It must be well-designed, extremely informative,
easy to navigate, and extremely enticing.
Establish your expertise in your
niche. The next big step is positioning yourself as an expert or the best in
your field. This is very important as this is usually the main deciding factor
of people when they would like to make a purchase. Start by publishing high
quality articles that speak volumes about your expertise in your niche. Start a
blog where you can entertain questions and where you can share a slice of your
in-depth knowledge. Once you've attracted enough attention, organize short
group coaching programs. The idea here is to show your prospects how good you
are without really giving them everything you've got. If they're impressed, you
can be assured that they'll sign up to whatever it is that you offer,
guaranteed!
Make your marketing campaign more
aggressive. If you're not getting enough traffic, it simply means that your
internet marketing campaign isn't effective. So, make it focused and highly
targeted. Then, spend more time promoting your offerings and use more marketing
tools. Personally, I would recommend PPC and banner ads, social media
marketing, and of course, content-based marketing solutions which include
blogging, article marketing, and ezine publishing.
Offer freebies. If you want to see
your prospects running towards your website, I suggest that you give them
something that they don't have to pay for. Don't worry it doesn't need to be
costly. These people will appreciate short ebooks, simple audio products,
invitation to your coaching programs, or free access to your teleseminars. Once
they come up to you to take advantage of your freebies, grab the opportunity of
making a sale. Talk about some of your products that they might find most
interesting and get them to buy. Give them discounts and create a sense of
urgency. Use the "It's now or never!" type of sale strategy.
Build a good reputation online. I
always say this to my clients; reputation is everything when running an online
business. You need to be known as somebody who's got what it takes to impress
your clients. I suggest that you go that extra mile to make each of your
customers extremely happy. Then, encourage them to share their experience to
other people.
